Okay, so here's a little something about me: I am a counselor (obviously). I am a certified life coach. I am a healer. But, I am not just passionate about mental health and wellbeing because it just something that interests me (though it does); rather, I am on fire to provide humans (like you) access to quality mental health services because there is a massive lack of access to it.

I know that for so many years and for so many reasons I myself have sought help, but either it was too expensive, not the right approach or I still felt alone in my journey in between our sessions. Something was missing. Why was access to mental health so limited? Why did I feel like I had to justify the cost of it (and rarely could) when my life wasn't actually crumbling in that moment... but, I couldn't sleep? I saw my friends, but also isolated? I could be kind to others, but then super irritable towards my partner? I could function "well enough", but couldn't control my "distress response signals" or past "trauma triggers"?

Ugh. We have to do better than this! We can't just talk about the importance of mental health yet not follow through with creative and innovative ways to care for ourselves.
